Journalist Temesgen Desalegn denied entry to US

The recently released journalist and activist Temesgen Desalegn has been denied entry to the United States to address Ethiopian community there, friends said.Though he has a legitimate reason to travel to the United States, he has been denied a visa – with an excuse that he has no children and family there, another opposition activist Girma Seifu said.Temesgen, the editor-In-chief for the now defunct Feteh newspaper has been released from prison on mid-October 2017 after serving three years, jailed on spurious charges of defamation.
